History Time produced an enlightening documentary on the historical Ivar the Boneless (Old Norse: Ívarr hinn Beinlausi; born circa 800s; died 873). Ivar was the crippled son of Ragnar Loðbrok and his wife Aslaug. Ivar’s brothers included Björn Ironside, Halfdan Ragnarsson, Hvitserk, Sigurd Snake-in-the-Eye and Ubba.
